Match Report | Caradon threes always knew they were in for a defensive match against Bodmin’s first team. However the first ten minutes showed even play much to the oppositions surprise! With a Caradon player injured and out after fifteen minutes it meant there were no subs to refresh the legs of the mids and defence who were working hard. Bodmin played some quick and accurate passes however Caradon blocked many attempts and held them to two goals in the first half. The second half started with a heavy hail storm which made everyone grit their teeth and push on. Caradon defensive line perservered and put in some strong tackles. Bodmin were unable to get past goalie Emily Joyce on several short corners. Despite Emily’s hard efforts four goals got by in the second half but not without a fight!!! A fast moving ball made contact to Caradon player seeing an instant fat lip and bruised nose, but in true Caradon style the team picked up and pushed on. This may have been a loss but Caradon had every reason to hold their heads up high as they did not flag or falter.
