Match Report |
A dry cloudy morning was the back drop for the fantastic fours match against Truro on Saturday. The squad started their campaign with a speedy warm up and a positive team talk from the captain. The match started with Truro having first push back but Caradon 4s were straight on the Truro sides with pressure that soon lead to the ball becoming Caradons. The passing was fast and efficient from the home side with lots of talking between players. Important runs being made down the wings from Lynsey White and Maddie Gubbins increased the attacing play resulted in plenty of chances on the visitors goal but we just couldn’t get the final connection to the back board. Truro did make it into the the home teams 25 but the ball was efficiently over turned by Tilly Scott and the defenders. As the game played out so did the momentum of Caradon on the away team and the goals then came for the home team. Lauren Gerry, Katie Fear and Anna Gubbins were the goal scorers of the day with Anna and Katie deservedly sharing the man of the match title. We look forward to our early match away on Saturday with a positive level to play from.
