Women's 3rd XI Vs Truro 2

Caradon ladies left sunny Truro with a cracking 11-0 win. Their defensive line hardly touched the ball in the first half as Caradon dominated play. A nice early goal from Jayne Longrigg followed by Ellen Spencer and Bryony Gubbins gave the away team a nice early lead.

Caradon mid players used their heads and saved their legs with some nice one two passes. Successfully finding Ellen Spencer who may have been taken out by Truro keeper but soon jumped to her feet to score. Right wing player Emma Gliddon fired the ball up the line with accuracy and pace to find Jayne waiting to pop in goal number five.

The young players held possession, Saffy Cripps worked the ball past three players in the D to score. A strong and accurate sideline pass from Neve Hunn to Jayne gave her the opportunity to straight strike goal number seven.

The half time whistle blew and the teams were glad to refuel after a warm and energetic 35 minutes. Caradon continued to enjoy plenty of possesion with two well worked goals from Jayne. Truro 2’s challenged this with some quick balls edging nearer Caradon’s defense. On these breaks Neve Hunn acted as a safety net ensuring nothing slipped past. 

Emma popped in goal number ten while player of the match Bryony (alongside Ellen Spencer) finished the mornings game on eleven goals.
