Women's 3rd XI Vs Bodmin 2

It was a wet and grey game away to Bodmin 2’s but this did not phase Caradon Ladies 3’s who came out with great determination and strength. With two early goals Caradon were flying. However they were soon reminded the importance to track back and mark tightly as Bodmin’s upfront players showed a definite threat when the ball reached their direction. Pivot player Nicola Batten intercepted driving runs and rolled out to find yellow shirts.  As did Kerryn Walsh who played a defensive role fearlessly.

Caradon picked up a further two goals from short corners opportunities.  An impressive one two routine seen Libby Walsh find the back of the net.

Despite keeper Emily Joyce (player of the match) saving some craking strikes the second half seen Bodmin come back with two goals.  Caradon had a quick reshuffle and settled to ensure they did not plant a third. 

Caradon scored a brilliant six goals overall, from players-  Erryn Lockett (2) Pippa Hedley, Ellen Spencer, Emma Gliddon and Libby Walsh.  Overall great play from this ever improving team.
