Match Report

Caradon Ladies should be proud of their achievements after they ended with a 6-0 win on Saturday. With three goals in the first half and three goals in the second Caradon third team dominated play against Marjons 5.

Pippa Hedley kicked off with a solo run into the D and a straight strike. This followed with wing player Libby Walsh passing an accurate and strong ball to Ellen Spencer who dodged the keeper and scored.  Rightly awarded player of the match Ellen continued to score a further two goals, from a short corner opportunity and set up pass from Lauren Gerry.

Marjons also played some quick fire hockey. However they were soon challenged by defending players Sharon Jeffery and Kerryn Walsh. Delia Woodman intercepted many attacking balls and made several driving runs.  Caradon keeper Emily Joyce showed quick reactions with an impressive save from a flying Marjons strike.

Supporting family on the side line cheered as they watched  Emma Gliddon twist and turn to score an impressive goal in the second half, taking Caradon to five goals ahead.

With short and prompt one two passes Caradon travelled the ball with ease. The final goal came from Leah Jones after a second short corner was awarded. Hold that enthusiasm and momentum ladies ready for your away game to Bodmin 2’s Saturday 26th.
