Match Report | It was a well fought game for Caradon 3's Ladies Team at Lipson Academy on Saturday. Sadly though Plymouth Uni 2's flew with an early goal and the away team Caradon were unable to bring it back. Caradon took advantage of playing the ball onto their opponents feet in the D so were awarded a few short corners. Despite strong and accurate push outs the team struggled to find target. There was equal posession from both teams throughout. Mid players on both sides certainly worked tirelessly as the ball ping ponged around the pitch with wide switches and back passes. Caradon gave away play on a few occasions by not looking up and hitting and hoping. But the team certainly included other skills successfully, posting up and making space. Caradon defensive players communicated well and held their players to avoid any further goals. Keeper Emily Joyce kicked out and saved many attempts on goal including four short corners. The team voted Charlie Perkins this weeks Player of the Match, rightfully deserved. Caradon will go away from today's game stronger and ready for their home game against Plymouth Marjons 5th team on Saturday 19th. |
