Match Report | Caradon 3’s knew it would be a tough battle against top of the league OPM on Saturday. An early goal from their opposition did not phase them as they continued to show great determination. In fact shortly after Caradon were rewarded with a goal after a strong pass from Libby Walsh to Ellen Spencer who finished with a powerful strike. Tania Spicer who stepped in to support in defence had a great game even stepping out to run the wing with a great few crosses where sadly they lacked a Caradon stick to connect. The strenth and experience from OPM encouraged Caradon to play a similar game- Switching play, passing back and superb defending tackles.. On a well rehearsed short corner Pippa Hedley took the rebound to give Caradon their Second goal. Words of encouragement and advise came from Caradon’s most experienced player Sharon Jeffery who with goalie Emily Joyce ensured OPM would not take the lead. |
