So, Marjons came to us on Saturday, probably expecting a battle. However, Caradon started relatively quietly and had to dig out some great passes to result in a goal from Erryn Lockett. So we're 1v0 up at half time but not feeling particularly comfortable about it. Caradon started the second half strong and a blast of a short corner shot from Tania Mary ricocheted off practically everyone and still it hit the backboard with force to make it 2v0. Should have been enough but Marjons kept coming and began to look more and more dangerous in front of goal and despite tight marking they were rewarded with not one but two goals pulling the game back to a draw. Caradon shouldn’t be to disappointed though as Marjons sit 2 places higher in the league than Caradon with 12 more points and last time they met the game ended 1-0 to Marjons! Claire Brown earned the turkey/flamingo award of the game by hospitalising one of the opposition when unfortunately the player came in on the wrong side and her head connected with Claire’s stick. Zoe Harris made saves-a-plenty to get voted MoM. Bring on next weeks last game of the season.
