Caradon 2s hosted 2nd in the League Bodmin on Saturday; the last time these two teams met Bodmin came away 6-3 winners. Caradon new this was going to be a hard game but wanted to make Bodmin work hard. Caradon started really strong and were attacking Bodmins D within the first few minutes, this pressure continued and with a short corner awarded Caradon had a chance of a goal. Erryn Lockett pushed a nice strong ball out to Tania Spicer at the top of the D and with a hard strike the ball got a deflection and ended in the back of the goal. Bodmin were astonished to be a goal down but Caradon were elated and keen not to allow Bodmin back in the game continued with this pressure, playing their best hockey of the season. This fantastic hockey continued and the whole of the Caradon team worked extremely hard throughout this game; everyones work rate and commitment on the pitch was phenomenal. The 3 points were nearly all Caradon’s but Bodmin managed a goal in the dying minutes of the game to finish the game level on 1all.. Player of the match was Charlie Harris.
