What a fantastic game from the ladies 2s today; end to end hockey with goal opportunities in abundance and great saves from Zoe Harris and lots of ooohs and aaahhs from the side line! Caradon definitely had the promotion pushing Plym Valley very worried in the first half with great goals from Charlie Harris and Erryn Lockett from superb build up play down the right from Sadie Mullis, finishing the half 2-2. This end to end play continued in the second half, Katie Jones was awesome as sweeper earning her player of the match and nearly Turkey when she ended up head first in the back of the goal but it was Plym Valley who pulled 3 goals out of the bag to bring the score line to 2-5, Caradon however never let their heads go down and pulled a goal back with a great finish by Charlotte Reed. A fantastic team performance once again with a very respectable 3-5 loss against second in the league! Thank you umpires for a great controlled game!
Lovely to see Natalie Ridgers at the pitch side today and looking forward to returning next season. Thanks to Louisa McCartney for her positive sideline support and half time pep talk. No game next weekend but back the following weekend against Plym valley second team
