| Match Report | Caradon 2s played host to Truro 1s on Saturday and this was a fixture Caradon were keen to dominate. Caradon started strong and held the ball in the traveling teams half but at times their play was a bit scrappy as they allowed their play to mirror that of the Truro side. Eventually this persistence paid off with Emma Jayne Mullis hitting the target mid way through the first hal and a few minutes later Charlotte Reed was rewarded with a goal ending the first half 2-0; Caradon however were keen to push forward with this game and lift the teams confidence by scoring a few more goals that have been hard to come by in the last few games. The second half was a much better display of hockey, with lovely link up runs and forward drives into the ‘D’ and more goals were rewarded through Katie Jones, Bryony Gubbins and Erryn Lockett. The mid field have to be congratulated for their tireless effort with Player of the match Rach Luiten winning the ball back on numerous occasions along with Sadie Mullis and Charlie Harris. The defence had a quiet week in this fixture but on Saturday they will be very much required When they take on 3rd in the League Bodmin away at the Dragon Centre. |
