Match Report | Back to winning ways for Caradon 1st XI this week. Despite missing 5 from there squad Caradon forged on with a make shift team.
In the early part of the game Caradon were on the offensive forcing Bude to play in their defensive half, after a couple of attempts going wide of the post Caradon opened the scoring through A Tyler Walsh drag flick. The game settled for a while with both teams attacking to no avail. However a loose ball played in behind the Bude defence left Chris Fasey 1v1 with goal keeper and a 2-0 lead.
The momentum of the game quickly switch and Caradon looked to capitalise, a couple chances were left begging but Fasey picked up his second soon after. With the half time whistle Caradon were 3-0 up.
At the beginning of the second half Caradon continued to press, but the defensive line of Bude were enough to stop the onslaught. The second half deadlock was broken by Tyler burying a rebound from his own short corner. 4-0 up Caradon went quiet and invited a pressure from the away team, Caradon were slow to react to a break down in the Bude D, getting forward in numbers they were able to find space around the Caradon defence and a well place finish brought Bude a glimmer of hope.
Striking back quickly Caradon formed and attack from the push, working their way into the D and winning a penalty flick, Tyler stepped up, composed himself and slotted it home for his third of the game. With two games this weekend Caradon held up and saw the game to a close rather than pushing on for a bigger result. |
