| Match Report | Caradon Men’s 1st XI beat OPM 8-2 to remain top of the table. Venturing across the Tamar bridge Caradon made the short trip to OPM. With the bare 11 Caradon made a bit of shaky start but before long Caradon were in full flow. David Lockett, stepping up from the 2s, took first blood, knocking a loose ball past the keeper. Not to be out done Neil Spencer also added one to the score sheet. Continuing to apply the pressure Caradon had a penalty flick shout turned down in favour of a short corner. With a well worked routine the ball was deflected over the line by Luke Jeffery.
The start of the second half was dominated by Caradon. With Dave Lockett, Chris Fasey and Spencer adding to the score sheet. Now 6-0 up Caradon lost some composure and let OPM back in the game, scoring two on the break.
Caradon gathered themselves again, Tyler Walsh scoring the 7th and Jenson Cory finished of the game with a last minute deflection at the back post. Eight games in Caradon have won every game. Next week ISCA travel down to Lux Park. |
