Women's 1st XI Vs Falmouth

Caradon travelled to table toppers, Falmouth, on Saturday and although were well beaten can be pleased with thier performance apart from a crazy 10 minute spell which allowed Falmouth to score 4 goals in quick succesion.

The game was well contested, with both teams looking to gain the upper hand. Falmouth took an early lead but a superb goal from in form Bizzie Dinnis levelled things up. After recieving the ball on the half way line, she out paced 4 defenders to fire her shot into the top right hand corner of the goal.

Before half time, Falmouth had regained the lead but Caradon believed they could compete in the second half and potentailly nick a point. Soon after the restart Player of the match Dinnis scored from an acute angle and the game was evenly balanced. Caradon had the better of the chances with 2 shots being cleared off the line, head height, by Falmouth defenders and a shot hitting the post. With the game poised it was Cardon who found themselves on the wrong side of the umpire leading to 3 cards being shown and the defense having to mange while the team were a player down. Falmouth capitalised on this and pressed hard, scoreing 4 goals in quick succesion to give them a flattering scoreline and the three points.

Caradon can be proud of their efforts, knowing that on another day the scoreline could have been quite differant and had to accept that this was just not thier day. Tavistock away, is the final league fixture before the Christmas break and Caradon will look to maintain thier mid table position.
