Match Report |
Caradon hosted Mannamead II's last weekend, Caradon III's wanted a result from this game; last seasons clashes were a tightly fought battle but caradon were hoping to get the better of them this year. Caradon started strong and pressured the Mannamead's 'D' trying to push for a goal but shots were either blocked or pushed wide. The 1st half finished a frustrating 0-0 but with a positive half time team talk Caradon came out with more fight, within a few minutes Erryn Lockett deflected a pass into the goal ( her 5th goal of the season, scoring in every league match so far), this lifted the Home side and they pushed stronger. Rachel Luiten (player of the match) picked the ball up in midfield of the park and found herself with the space to dribble forward into the 'D', once in the 'D' she struck the ball hard and straight into the corner of the goal. Caradon kept this pressure up and captain Shelley Lockett managed to get herself her first goal of the season with a tap in from the near post and the team came away worthy 3 -0 winners. This weekend they face top of the table Penzance away.
