Match Report | Caradon travelled with a weakened 10 man squad to play West Dorset. Despite having 10 men Caradon struck first, a penalty flick won by Jake Andrews and despatched by Fasey. Caradon had their noses in front and continued to hold the Dorset team at bay and creating chances. Despite Caradon’s best efforts Dorset won a short corner, Dave Lockett’s stick was not enough to stop the home team levelling the game. Now on the back foot Caradon continued to fight the up hill battle. Weathering the storm Caradon conceded another short corner, this time the finish was not as well struck, but managed to find a gap in Dan’s pads and the back of the net, Caradon now trailed going into the second half. The Dorset team came out the stronger in the second half pressing the Caradon team and winning them another short corner which the Home team scored putting them 3-1 ahead. Caradon rallied and took the fight back to West Dorset, Leon made a charge down the middle the defence parted like the Red Sea in front of him and a smashed the ball through the legs of the keeper. Caradon continued to attack despite multiple attempts from Fasey he was unable to find the target. The Dorset team were relieved to hear the final whistle and Caradon now have an up hill battle for the rest of the season after a string of disappointing results. |
