A strong Ponies side gave us a much stiffer game than Bombadier. Fast and skillful men kept the defence and Toby busy, the latter making some fine saves. first goal conceaded was a short corner, going wide until Rapper kindly helped it back on track. There followed some debate as to whether it should count but I could see no reason why not. At 2-0 down Neil Mullis out moved the centre back, rounded the keeper only to be taken out. A sharp eyed fellow player accused dad of a football dive!. More debate on who could take the flick, and we bullied Helen into doing so, but an extended keepers foot kept it to 2-0 at half time. at least we drew the second half, a Ponies drive and bullet into the roof gave Toby no chance but we got one back as Carl jockeyed for room at the top of the D and fired one into the backboard.
