Match Report

Caradon travelled to Exeter University and were well beaten by a team the were in complete control from start to finish.
The students took the lead within 5 minutes and caradon knew it was going to be a tough game as they struggled to gain any spells of possession. The  game plan for the visitors became one of containment as the students increased the lead to 2-0 by half time.
Player of the match Lauren Kelly battled hard and inspired the rest of the team to continue chasing and hassling. The university team were relentless and pushed further up the pitch, piling the pressure on.  A brave a gritty performance by the Cornish midfield kept the score line credible and can be proud of their effort.
Caradon could have scored a consolation goal near the end but Clare Poads’ shot  clipped the post and the final whistle came.
Caradon now enjoy a weeks break from the league and look forward to playing league title chasers in the county cup on the 18th.
