Match Report

Caradon entertained Tavistock on Saturday and were well beaten by an organised and compact team display of hockey.
The game could have had quite a different outcome if a chance created within the first two minutes had been converted by the home team but it was a goal close to half time for the visitors that broke the deadlock.
Caradon looked uncomfortable on the ball and rushed possession, something that is unusual for this normally confidant team. Player of the match Glayne Price was doing her best to turn the tide but it was Tavistock who stretched the lead with two well taken strikes.
With rolling substitutions Caradon were trying desperately to turn effort into goals but despite penalty corners awarded, Tavistock stood firm and the elusive goal never came.
Caradon continued to battle hard but it wasn’t to be their day and they must now dust themselves off ready for an away fixture to Exeter University next week.
