Match Report | Caradon entertained neighbours Plymouth Marjons second team on Saturday and ran out comfortable winners. Caradon found their feet quickly and looked assured on the ball. Marjons looked disjointed and the hassling midfield triangle of Beth Harris, Reenie Batten and Glayne Price retained lots of possession allowing the wing players space to create chances for the forwards. The lead was taken when returning player and player of the match Bizzie Dinnis linked with skipper Clare Poad and expertly found the bottom corner. A second soon followed after a quickly taken free hit, Dinnis weaved her way through the defence and slotted home. Caradon looked comfortable and could have extended their lead but mid way through the second half the team looked to have settled for the 2 goal lead and the game became more disjointed with the visitors creating a few chances of their own. Caradons defence stood defiant to get their first clean sheet of the season and the team were happy with take the three points on offer and march on to play Okehampton, away, on Saturday. |
