Match Report | PGSOB A vs Caradon
Caradon Men’s 1st XI travelled to Plymouth after a run of disappointing results. Straight from the first whistle Caradon came out of the blocks applying pressure on the PGSOB’s defensive line. Exploiting the youth of the Caradon forward line Jenson Cory, Jack Rowe and Ollie Allsop relentlessly attacked.
After continued pressure, a short corner broke the home team, giving Caradon their first lead of the season thanks to a Leon Farrow strike. Caradon did not let up after the first goal creating lots of opportunities but the half came to the end with Caradon ahead 1-0.
The second half brought more of the same, Caradon gave the home team no time to breath. PGSBO finally cracked, the ball fell to Ollie Allsop in the D and with a composed finish Caradon were now two goals to the good. Ollie didn’t stop there slotted the ball home 3-0 Caradon.
For the first time Caradon took their foot of the gas, inviting the Plymouth team to attack, this brought Dan Harris into the game, after making a secession of great saves, keeping Caradon’s heads above water he earning himself player of the match. Caradon gathered themselves reapplied pressure and after a well worked team effort Ollie completed his hat trick securing Caradon’s first win of the season. Final score Caradon 4, PGSOB A 0. |
