Match Report | Caradon entertained Exe and although didn’t win any points can be pleased with their performance. Exe, who have averaged a winning margin of five goals in their previous games, where quick out of the blocks and the home team struggled to adjust. Beth Harris started to command her midfield and Caradon were nullifying any Exeter attacks. Just before half time an Exeter strike had goal was celebrated but with neither umpires sure whether the ball had gone through a hole in the net or went wide of the post, the score was level at half time. The second half was a case of more attacking from the visitors and a spirited defensive battle from the home team. Player of the match, Lauren Kelly battled well on the left but it was Exeter who scored two well worked goals to give them the deserved victory. |
