Match Report | Caradon welcomed Okehampton to Lux Park and claimed their first points of the season with a solid team performance. The home team took the lead early on when Charlie Harris was in the perfect position to deflect home a penalty corner, but with Okehamptons’ star player in fine form the scores were soon all level. Both teams battled for the upper hand and it was Carinna Batten who in typical determined fashion, regained the lead through a deflected shot from the top of the circle. Mid way in the second half Clare Poad scored after good build up play on the right and the momentum was firmly with the home side. With Amy Batty and Beth Harris snuffing out any potential threat it was player of the match Laura Hill who scored the fourth goal from a well practised penalty corner routine. Although Okehampton did score a late consolation goal, Caradon looked safe and the result was never in doubt. |
